How I Got The Idea of The White Angels

When I saw Prince For A Day, I
thought it was a cool for Joey Lawrence
to show his singing (& playing guitar for 1st time)
in the movie.

In the movie, there's a character
named Frankie (Ricky's trumpet player; John Wildman)
who tried to get back in the band.
Later I found out that John Wildman's
actually was a famous Canadian actor.
He won a Genie (Canadian Oscar) for
Best Actor in "My American Cousin".

So Frankie became Frank Brandis,
Joe Roman's best friend from
California. They've played music
since they were 14. Frank's
a cool & talented trumpet player.
When I saw a rock concert with a
horn section playing white instruments,
it would be fitting that Frank Brandis
played a white trumpet! Bart also
plays a white tenor sax.

His 1st fanfic appearance was on
The Crew's Ship. Then I decided to
have him as a regular character
starting on Brotherly Love Wedding.

He also convinced Joe to switch
careers from a mechanic to a musician.

I always thought Joey Lawrence
would make a super guitarist
playing rock/jazz/swing, chunking
chords, playing super soloes.
He would also sing as he played
guitar. Joe plays a Washborn.

The other band members;

Jason:
David Fagin gave me the
idea that Phil Buckman
would play the bass guitarist.
Phil appeared on the Monk Fish
episode of Kirk as the dim-witted
drummer. His valley talk praddle
fit him well.

Ralph:
I remember seeing Ralph
Macchio on 8 Is Enough. In
the teen magazines, he had a
hidden talent. Ralph plays
the organ!

Bart:
Opposite of Lisa! I wanted
a black member of the band.
And while Price Is Right was
in commercial, I peeked @ Sunset
Beach & saw Jason George. The
Best Young Actor Nominee would
make a perfect Bart, playing sax
& guitar (jammin with Joe Roman).

Ben:
Next to the guitar, the vibraphone's
my favorite instrument. Mostly
associated with jazz music, it has
been rarely used in other types
of music
(TRIVIA BONUS; Former Young &
Restless star Michael Damian
played the vibes in his family
band, The Wiers. he started
playing vibes @ 11!)
I heard a vibes version of
With A Little Help From My
Friends & thought of Wonder
Years. Immediately, Fred
Savage would make an awesome
& handsome vibist for The
White Angels.

Eric:
Will Friedle's crazyness
on BMW makes him look like
a live action Homer Simpson.
His energy's the inspration
behind Eric Hunter, drummer/
tympanist of TWA. I also
like tympanis as well! Not
only used in symphony orchestras,
The Beach Boys use a tympani in
"Wouldn't It Be Nice". And
Queen member Roger Taylor
played a cool 2 minute tympani
solo in "Brighton Rock"

Fred:
On the BMW episode before the wedding,
they had a choice of musicians. One
of which was two Elvises playing a
marimba.

So I thought why not have Ben Savage
play the marimba & join his brother
Fred Savage on vibes.

Victoria:
Batman & Robin had Batgirl,
The Ninja Turtles had Venus De Milo,
why not The White Angels have a female member.
Victoria's a cool trumpet player who played
in a beach pageant. Frank saw her play
& he fell in love with her!
David Fagin gave me the idea that Cindy
Crawford would fit the Victoria character.

DAVID:
I always liked 90210 &
actors Brian Austin Green & Jamie Walters.
David's the new keyboard hot shot
who replaced Ralph Andretti.
Jamie plays Ray Walters; TWA's mamager.

CODY:
Competition for Eric Hunter.
Played by a short lived 80's actor
(Brian Patrick), Cody's the all-American
dude who also has a fine bod when
he plays the drums/tympani.

Don't ask how I know all this trivia, I
just like to share it.
