At 11, Ben played the drums
in a garage band.

When he entered high school,
he played football & jazz band.
The band already had a drummer,
so Ben got stuck playing the vibes.

He hardly ever got a solo, so
he wrote his own soloes.  The
director was impressed that he
encouraged him to write his own
vibraphone arrangements.

When the music program was cut, 
the teacher gave Ben the vibes
because he's a gifted student.

Ben had his own band & was even
named Most Promising Vibist.
When his band quit, he decided
to go solo & play @ a hotel.
Frank discovered him & had him
join TWA.  Ben plays rock & jazz.

Ben's married to Velma, the Roman's
next door neighbor.
