This story's not only a possible Brotherly Love spin-off, but also a Prince For A Day sequel. Two Joey Lawrence works in one fanfic.
Joe & Lou Roman now lived in a quaint apartment complex. Lou worked part time for Lloyd @ the garage while Joe still played the guitar & sang in The White Angels.
We find Lou & her next door neighbor friend, Velma, finishing off a soap opera while drinking coffee.
"Thanks for letting me come." said Velma, "I love my soaps. Too bad, my tv's in the repair shop. Also the sad news that the local network affiliate dropped Let's Make A Right Price after 20 some odd years. Now it's just talks & soaps in Philly."
"Velma," Lou said showing her a newspaper article, "A new station,
Channel 44 rescued that game show & saved it. The station manager's trying to have a positive program line-up."
Just then, Joe walked in the door with guitar case in hand.
"Bun Bun, I'm home!"
"Most husbands would come home with a breifcase." quipped Velma,
"You have one with a guitar case. I gotta go." as she left.
As he put his case down, Lou asked,
"Did you get a real job? Suit & tie, no white tux?"
"Lou." said Joe, "You won't believe it. Remember the Sweet 16 gig?" Lou nodded, "Her father's the station manager of Channel 44! He wants us to have a tv series! Frank's negotiating with him right now."
Lou hugged & kissed Joe. Then the phone rang as Joe answered it.

"Hello. Yeah, uh huh. Cool! Sure, Lou will freak! OK, I'll sign. Bye!"
Joe got off the phone & told Lou,
"Our hour long music show's on @ 7:00 pm Saturdays. We're guaranteed 10 shows & we'll each get paid $7,000 an episode. We do 8 songs, I sing 3, 5 instrumentals. For the first 7 shows, each band member's profiled in a bio segment!"
"Let's celebrate in the bedroom, I want to have a baby." said Lou.
"Later." he said, "I gotta sign a contract with Channel 44." as he left, Lou sighed.
That Saturday night, the Romans invited Velma over to watch The White Angels on tv.
"Shouldn't you be @ work?" asked Lou.
"We taped it last night!" explained Joe as he brought out refreshments & chips. Lou snuggled next to Joe when she saw him play a guitar solo or singing. Then when Ben played a vibes solo, Velma went crazy!
Coincidentally, @ The Park Place Hotel's penthouse suite, The Ricky Prince Band vacationed a week to prepare for a concert. They were flipping channels when they came along Channel 44 & heard their music.
"Leave it!" ordered Ricky Prince.
The band played a rock number as Joe Roman played a guitar solo.
Ricky & Ralph Bitando (his songwriting partner/guitarist) couldn't believe that Joe looked like them.
"Great, triplets!" groaned Ralph, "What next?"
They had to ask as Frank played a trumpet solo. Their trumpet player, Frankie, looked exactly alike!
"Cool trumpet sound." said Frankie, "Wish I could solo?"
"No!" Ricky firmly said, "You're a horn section player blowing backing riffs. Don't think about switching places or I'll fire you!"
"Then we wouldn't have a storyline." said Frankie.
Back @ the apartment, Velma was thrilled when Ben played a vibraphone solo alone. After that, they showed Ben's bio as Ben narrates;
"I'm Ben Sanders, The White Angels' vibes dude! In high school, I played football & jazz band. I wanted to play drums, but the band director had me play the vibes. I felt bored playing chord progressions, so I wrote my own solos. The band director wasn't pleased & punished me by writing my own song. He was amazed of the song I wrote & told me I had potential. When the music program was cut, the band director gave me the vibes. I still write my own soloes & arrangements for The White Angels. My secret desire, singing. Give Joe some competition."
"He's a hunk!" sighed Velma, "Velma Sanders, has a nice ring! Wedding ring, that is!" then she begged Joe for a date. When the show ended, Lou was proud of her husband.
"Lou," said Joe, "Tomorrow, we're dining @ The Park Place Hotel.
We'll rent a room as well."
The next afternoon, Frankie left the hotel going to Super Music store to get his trumpet worked on. At the store, he discovered that Frank was getting his valves fixed on his trumpet. He followed him to a private studio playing a different trumpet. Then Frankie played & when he saw him, they freaked!
"Man, we look alike!" they said looking @ each other, then yelled,
"SEQUEL!"
"I'm Frank Brandis, The White Angels' Leader."
"Frankie Smith, Ricky Prince's horn slave." shook hands, "Let's do like that NBC-TV movie & switch places. I'll also pay you $10,000!"
So they gave each other details as they switched places.
Across the hotel, a blue van was parked as Ricky's former agent,
Bernie & girl Nora, spied.
"As soon as we see Ricky Prince, we'll kidnap him!" said Bernie,
"He caused the record company to fall when he signed for another label.
Now we'll get even!"
"There he is!" said Nora looking through binoculars, "Ricky's taking a fan to dinner!"
But it turned out it was Joe & Lou.
30 minutes later, Joe & Lou were enjoying a fine romantic dinner together until the waiter came & said,
"Pardon me, I've been informed that your car lights are on."
Joe excused himself as he left for the parking garage.
At the hotel parking garage, Joe checked his convertible as he did remember the lights. But then a couple of thugs approached & beat him up & knocked him out. Then the van pulled up as they loaded him in & had him kidnapped! Bernie had the last laugh saying,
"I told you not to screw me, Ricky Prince!" as they drove off.
But they didn't notice that Frank was hiding behind a column & couldn't believe Ricky Prince was kidnapped!
Back @ the hotel restaurant, Lou was waiting until she saw Ralph (not Joe).
"Honey, you ready?"
"For what?" he asked as Lou paid the check.
Back @ the penthouse suite, Frank entered as he rushed to find someone.
"Where have you been?" asked Ricky, "We got rehearsal?"
"Aw man." Frank said, "I just came from the parking garage & saw some thugs kidnap Ricky Prince."
"Have you been drinking again, Frankie?" asked Ricky.
Then Elaine, Ricky's new intelligent manager, used her logic saying,
"Obviously, the kidnappers got the wrong guy. They either got Joe Roman from that tv show, or my fiance, Ralph Bitando! We gotta rescue Ralph or Joe!"
"Later!" said Ricky as they left for rehearsal. That left Elaine to investigate on her own. She went to get some ice when she saw Ralph & Lou entering the honeymoon suite.
At an apartment in an old neighborhood, we find Joe Roman tied to a chair & his mouth taped.
"You ruined me, Ricky Prince!" yelled Bernie, "That double of yours cost me my job @ the record company. I'm a laughingstock of the industry! Now I got a new contract for you to sign for my new record label. No more songwriting or playing the guitar. I'll make you into another Milli Vanilli!"
Now Joe knew better not to deceive & put Ricky's life in jeopardy. So he played along with the charade. Then Nora entered wearing a sexy nightgown.
"Bernie," she purred, "Let me sleep with Ricky!"
"Later."
Back @ the hotel, Elaine stood outside the honeymoon suite,
overhearing a shower going. Then she heard Lou call room service ordering champagne. So she went down to the kitchen & disguised herself as a bus-boy. She took the champagne up to the honeymoon suite.
She found Ralph in a robe, out of the shower.
"Elaine!" gasped Ralph.
"You know my husband?" asked Lou in a gown in bed.
"He's my fiance!" she explained.
"Having an affair!" screamed Lou as she took a bucket of ice & threw it @ Ralph! "My dad's right, I shouldn't have married a musician!" as she cried in bed.
"Ralph, I forgive you." she said as Lou was shocked, "I won't slap you or cause a Melrose scene. Why don't you sing for Lou."
Ralph sang a song, but doesn't have a strong voice like Joe or Ricky has.
"You're telling the truth." cried Lou, "Forgive me."
"You're Lou Roman?" asked Elaine as she nodded, "You're husband's been kidnapped! Ricky's horn player, Frankie, witnissed the whole incident @ the parking garage."
"The waiter got a phony message." she said, "The car lights weren't on!"
Ralph said, "They kidnapped the wrong person. They don't have Ricky Prince, they got Joe Roman!"
"We gotta save my husband." she eclaimed as they went up to the penthouse suite.
Meanwhile @ rehearsal, Ricky & the band were jammin'. Frank stepped on a couple of bars throwing off the arrangement.
"Can't you read music?" asked Ricky.
"Sorry." he said. Then they jammed again as Ricky played a guitar solo. When he finished, Frank played a trumpet solo. That ticked Ricky off! Ricky got off his guitar, went to Frank & punched him!
"You switched places!" he yelled, "If you don't tell me where Frankie is, I'll turn you into a real White Angel, with wings!"
Frank got up & told Ricky,
"You're a self-centered rock star! Except for your twin, Ralph,
you treat your other band members like dirt. Frankie's a talented musician. I treat my band members with respect! You wanna fire your friend, go to Channel 44."
Ricky dragged Frank into the limo headed to the tv station.
Back @ the apartment, Bernie removed Joe from the chair & into the bed with Nora. He was still tied & taped.
"Nora, while I go get us some Chinese food, frame Ricky Prince with a paternity suit!"
"With pleasure!" she drooled. As he left, he told his thugs not to let anyone in or out.
Nora started making moves on Joe. But as the situation got worse,
Joe managed to untie his hands. Then he punched Nora out cold! Then he removed the tape off his mouth & placed it on Nora. Then he taped her body to the bed. Joe got up, then tore the contract up, escape out the window & ran down a fire escape. Joe ran for his life until he reached a donut shop when he saw a police motorcycle parked. Joe's friend,
Jamal, came out when he tried to start the motorcycle.
"Off the bike!"
"Jamal, this is an emergency!" he said, "I just escaped afetr being kidnapped! But they think I'm Ricky Prince! Go to 221 Elm, #304,
you'll find the girl tied in bed. She seduced me!"
Jamal handed his keys & helmet to Joe, "I'll fine you $400 later.
Go before they spot you! I'll take care of the girl."
Joe drove Jamal's police motorcycle to escape!
Meanwhile @ a Channel 44 studio, Frankie rehearsed with The White Angels without a guitarist. Frankie played a trumpet solo when Ricky entered the studio.
"Take 5 guys, I wanna talk to Frank, private!" as the band left.
Then he undid his shirt to show his tattoo & gruffed,
"You're fired Frankie! This story line should've been shorter!
Your double's waiting in the limo!" as he put his shirt back on.
When Ricky & Frankie left Channel 44, Bernie saw them as he was driving, thinking he's Ralph Bitando. Bernie got out of the van & pulled a gun @ Ricky as Frankie hid in the limo.
"Get in the van!" he said, "I got the Prince of rock & roll captive, now I'll have Ralph Bitando as well."
When Ricky got in the van, the station manager witnissed the whole incident.

Bernie was driving back until he saw Joe Roman driving a police motorcycle.
"Lousy Nora!" he yelled, "Ricky's escaped!"
A few blocks ahead, we find Elaine driving a car with Lou & Ralph on board. When they stopped for a traffic signal, they saw a blue van chasing a police motorcycle.
"That's them!" shouted Lou, "My husband always drives a motorcycle in Larry's fanfics! Let's go!"
The cahse was on as Elaine, Bernie & Joe chased each other all around Philadelphia causing a commotion. Police cars chased the 3 vehicles. Then it ended when Bernie's tire popped & crashed @ a fire hydramt! The police took everbody down to the station.
The captain was really confused when he saw Ricky, Ralph & Joe, so he made them wear nametags.
"What a jackpot!" he exclaimed, "What happened?"
Joe testified, "Bernie & Nora kidnapped me @ the hotel garage.
Except they made a mistake, they got Joe Roman!"
"Then who did I get in my van?" asked Bernie as Ricky raised his hand & he yelled "AAARGH!"
Then Jamal entered with the thugs & Nora arrested.
"That's the girl who seduced me!" said Joe.
The cops took Bernie, Nora & the thugs to jail for assault & false kidnapping. But the Captain wasn't done.
"Stealing a police motorcycle's 30 days or a $400 fine."
"I'll pay the fine since Joe saved my life." said Ricky.
Outside the station, the staion manager of Channel 44 arrived with the contract in his hand.
"I don't want violence to happen on my station or on station property! I'm tearing up the White Angels contract & cancelling the series. You're..."
As he was about to tear up the contract, he saw all three together & couldn't belive it!
"I'll work this out." said Ricky.
The night came when fans went to Ricky Prince's concert. The warm-up band was The White Angels as Channel 44 telecast the White Angels' portion of the concert. Lou, Ricky & Ralph cheered Joe's guitar solos & vocals while Velma drooled over Ben's vibes solos. Near the end, Frank said,
"Before Ricky Prince comes out, everyone in life has a double.
Mine can be found in Ricky Prince's horn section. Meet my double, Frankie Smith!"
Frankie came out with his own white trumpet (how he spene some of his $10,000) & shook hands with Frank. The band played a fast jazz number. Frank played the first trumpet solo, then Joe, who was between the two lookalikes, played a guitar solo & Ricky was impressed when Frankie played the second trumpet solo!
At Intermission, Elaine told Frank,
"Looks like your band rocks. After your tv show's done, I wanna sign your band to a record deal. Ricky Prince wants you on his label."
Ricky caught up to Frankie & told him,
"Cool solo!"
"I thought I was fired." said Frankie.
"You're back on my team." pleaded Ricky, "Next album, I'll let you do two trumpet soloes." Ricky shook Frankie's hand & was forgiven.
"On one condition." said Frankie.
At the Ricky Prince concert, Ricky sang "Reason #99". Then he played a guitar solo & went over to his horn section, telling Frankie to play. Frankie played a trumpet solo. When he finished, Ricky said,
"Frankie Smith on trumpet!"
Velma got her date with Benjamin. But where were Joe & Lou?
Joe & Lou were back home in their bedroom. Joe was in his robe as he asked Lou,
"Are you ready to have a baby?"
he took a cassette tape out & played it on the stereo. Joe took off his robe & got into bed with Lou as they heard smooth, silky electric guitar music.
"You did that?" she asked.
Joe nodded, "Make out music." Then they covered their faces over & that's as far as I'll go in this story.
