On top of the viewing area @ The Empire State Building, tourists were looking @ scenic New York City. A mother & daughter fainted when they looked @ their telescopes. Their father asked,
"What startled you? Was it a bird?"
"Get real!" quipped the wife.
"Was it a plane?"
"No!" said his daughter, "It's The Super Cool Brothers! Eee!"
Sure enough, our super hero trio were in jet motorcycle mode as Super Cool Matt piloted, Super Cool Andy holding on & Super Cool Joe in the sidecar looking @ The Empire State Building.
After they checked in a hotel, our boys wore trench coats, shades & hats, in case trouble happens. The boys saw all the sites; The Statue of Liberty, Wall St., Times Square & Radio City Music Hall where their concert was held.
When they went to Central Park, our trio were fronted with a gang.
"Hand over your wallets!" threatened the leader.
"Youmessed with the wrong dudes!" said Joe as the boys quickly removed the trench coats & had their super hero outfits. Even though they had great fighting skills, they were beaten. All looked lost for our heroes when somebody took his gun away with his web. It was Spider-Man. Spidey & The SC Bros. beat the gang up as they scattered.
"Thanks, you saved us!" said SC Matt.
"You're welcome, Andy, Matt & Joey Nicholson." said Spidey, "We belong in the same super hero club. Welcome to New York."
"Same here, Peter Parker." quipped SC Joe.
"I heard SC Andy's a big spider fan. Wanna go somewhere cool?"
asked Spidey.
"Where?"
"My spider-lair. My place to chill. Hold on." Spidey ran off for a while & came out driving a red & blue spider designed motorcycle.
"Can I?" asked SC Andy as SC Joe nodded, "Cool!"
"Be back before our concert." said SC Joe.
SC Andy got a helmet from Spidey & rode behind him. As he revved up the engine, SC Andy said,
"You're better than SC Joe!" as they drove off!
"He's just showing off with his motorcycle to SC Andy." complained SC Joe.
"Jealous?" asked SC Matt as they put their trench coats back on.
About miles from New York was Spider-Man's favorite place to chill, his spider lair. SC Andy was impressed with his place to relax.
Spidey had a crime computer & a lab where he makes his webbing. The web slinger gave our boy super hero a supply of web & had him wear a junior Spider-Man outfit. When he came out, Spidey asked,
"Well Spider-Boy, ready for a web fight?"
"COOL!"
SC Andy dressed as a junior Spider-Man & battled the web-slinger attacking each other with web power. They each got sprayed a lot & when SC Andy ran out of web, Spidey stopped. Then they got the webbing off their costumes.
As our boy super hero put back his own super hero outfit back on, he heard a drum solo being played. SC Andy was amazed @ The Amazing Spider-Man.
"No way! Spider-Man plays the drums! Awesome set of drums!"
Spidey had a 11-piece kit with 3 roto-toms, 4 tom-toms, 2 bass drums, a floor tom & snare drum. Had a hi-hat & 5 crashing cymbals.
His drum set was decorated red & blue with cobwebs & had a picture of him on one bass drum head & "Spider-Man" written on the other bass drum head.
Spidey clicked his drumsticks & said,
"1-2-3-4!"
He first played a bass drum solo using both feet tapping a beat.
Then he played a cool drum solo playing a tribal beat. He played on his roto-toms, tom-toms & crashed cymbals. He also likes to do what SC Andy does, snare drum roll!
"Cool!" yelled SC Andy asking, "How did you get started playing the drums?"
Spidey explained, "In high school. But I never told others about my hidden talent. Playing drums kept me out of trouble."
"Man, you should jam with us for one song! You can play my drums while I play my tympani. Deal?"
"No deal!" said Spidey, "My drumming talent stays here in the lair. I got to get you back to Radio City Music Hall for your concert." SC Andy hopped on Spidey's motorcycle as he drove him back to join his brothers.
At Central Park, SC Joe & Matt (in trench coats) encountered some unusual street musicians. Two girls, Josephine (10) playing guitar & Matilda (6) playing a junior keyboard, singing a Beatles song. Just then, their foster parent arrived & unplugged both instruments.
"Uncle Mel!" whined the girls.
"I told you not to play @ Central Park!" yelled Mel.
"But Uncle Mel," pleaded Matilda, "We we're only raising money to go see The Super Cool Brothers concert."
"I love SC Joe!" sighed Josephine, "His singing voice, guitar playing & his muscles."
"Girls!" said Mel, "Those stupid heroes are nothing but phonys.
They wear padding under those silly costumes. Grab your instruments, we're going home!"
Then he turned to the two trench coat boys & said,
"You perverts better leave my girls alone or I'll call the police!"
Our boys took off the trench coats & were surprised as the girls screamed.
"You got a problem with us, Uncle Mel?" asked SC Joe as he flexed his muscles. Mel felt his muscles & found out they were real! Then SC Matt gave Mel & the girls free tickets to the concert. As our heroes left, SC Matt told his brother,
"There's something awfully familiar about them!"
"Gimme A Break of the opposite sex!" quupped SC Joe.
At Radio City Music Hall, our heroes were having sound check.
Spidey played a tympani drum roll while SC Andy drummed. SC Joe was still jealous.
"Stop playing, web-head!" he yelled.
Spidey stopped & jumped over the drums to face SC Joe.
"Don't go near my brother again!" threatened SC Joe, "He's part of this team, not your sidekick!"
"SC Joe, your brother's a big fan of mine! He's a good boy super hero. I only wanted to treat him to a cool day. He looks up to you as a great crimefighter, super motorcyclist & cool musician. What if you met your hero, Batman? What would you do?"
"This isn't Gotham City." said SC Joe.
"Gotham/New York, same place." interrupted SC Matt.
"If I meet Batman, I'll let you play one song in our concert!"
boasted SC Joe. Just then, he heard some jazz guitar music being played from his dressing room. SC Joe rushed to his dressing room & saw the Adam West Batman playing electric guitar.
"Cool cameo!" exclaimed SC Joe.
"Who were you expecting, Will Friedle?" quipped Batman.
When Kevin Matthews finished the warm up, we find SC Matt & Andy getting on their instruments.
"Where's SC Joe?" asked SC Andy.
"Beats me." said SC Matt, "Play!"
SC Andy played a tympani drum roll. Suddenly, funky organ music can be heard playing. The organ rose up & the fans screamed when they saw SC Joe playing the house organ.
SC Joe got off & was escorted on stage by two Rockettes who kissed him on the cheek. Then they kissed SC Matt. SC Andy refused.
"Hello New York!" yelled SC Joe.
Later in the concert,
"Our next number will have 2 drummers. SC Andy playing the tympani & playing the drums, New York's own super hero, Spider-Man!"
Fan screamed as Spider-Man played a drum solo with SC Andy playing tympani. Then the others joined as they sang about being true to yourself. After the song, Spidey shaked SC Andy's hand & slinged off stage! SC Andy found that Spidey left him some red & blue designed drumsticks!
