We find the SC 4000 along I-55 South with Super Cool Andy driving,
Super Cool Joe holding on & Super Cool Matt in the sidecar. When they
reached St. Louis & crossed over the Mississippi River, they saw the
Gateway Arch, the gateway to the west.
"Man, after St. Louis, this tour's half-over." said SC Joe, "I
think you'll like St. Louis for its unique museums."
SC Andy groaned.
"Hey, there's a couple of museums Andy would like." said SC Matt.
The super boys checked into a hotel, changed into their secret
identity tourist clothes & went out. They blindfolded Andy as they
took him to a surprise. When they arrived, Andy took off his
blindfold.
"Cool! A video game museum!"
"Not only can you look @ the exhibits, but you can play them as
well." explained Joey.
The boys went to the museum & played classic video games & pinball
machines.
Then as they headed somewhere else, Andy saw a billboard of The
St. Louis Ewes & a football player wearing a #29 jersey.
"Who's he?" asked Andy.
"That's Magic Jordan." explained Matt, "The best thing that
happened to the Ewes. He's not only a super talented running back, but
he's also a role model, mentor & musician. He also has a cool
restaurant nearby."
"Let's go!" said Andy.
"Later, we got two more museums to visit." said Joey.
The boys next stop was a bowling museum. After seeing the
exhibits, they got a chance to go bowling @ the basement alley. Matt
was a great bowler (and learned by watching The Professional Bowling
League on QBC) that Joey tried to catch him. In one frame, Andy was
pumped when he converted the 7-10 split! Matt beat his brothers 246 to
Joey's 214 to Andy's Dutch 200.
Then they went to the St. Louis Ewes Museum & sure enough, there
was a section for Magic Jordan. He was an All-American athlete in high
school, as well as his years in Palm Olive University before turning
pro.
Andy pushed a button to view a video documentary. The 1st part
was a public service commercial he did. Magic was in uniform playing a
drum solo on his set of drums. Then he played a snare drum roll
saying,
"Take the G & place an M! Get high playing drums, not on drugs!"
(Cymbal crash).
The 2nd part's a commercial he shot to promote ticket sales for
the Ewes. The commercial started with a close-up of drumsticks
drumming a fast beat on his hi-hat cymbals, then showed Magic lifting
weights. Next, a close-up of a hand poppin notes on a bass guitar
playing a funky beat, then Magic ran through tires. Next, a close-up
of a hand strumming on an electric guitar using his wah-wah pedal, then
showed Magic in action on the football field. Next, a close up of his
hand playing an electric guitar solo, then showed Magic scoring a
touchdown & doing a dance. Then, the ad showed (using trick
photography) 4 Magic Jordans playing each instrument as a band.
"If you think that's magic, check out Magic & the Ewes out on the
field." he said.
The 3rd & final part's a feature on him when QBC had Football
Warm-Up. The interview was about his fine performance on the field
for the team as well as his musical talent. Magic was brought up in a
musical family, but liked playing football better. Magic can play
drums, bass, guitar, piano, organ & vibes. Magic couldn't play any
wind instruments @ all.
"Cool!" exclaimed Andy, "We got to go to his restaurant!"
That night, our boys wore their suit & ties @ Magic Jordan's Cool
Restaurant having dinner. It had a sports bar & music room. Every
week, Magic Jordan would perform with his band. They find him playing
a vibes solo with Kevin Matthews up on stage with him. Then he handed
the mallets to Kevin as he played a cool vibes solo. Then they played
together, Magic stood next to Kevin playing lead while Kevin played
rhythm. The folks cheered.
"Let's hear it for our vibraphonist & star of Boy Conquers
America, Kevin Matthews!" said Magic, "Kevin's touring with some role
models I'd like to meet, The Super Cool Brothers."
"A sorry excuse for role models!" said a heckler.
"Mixing football or super heroes with music stinks!" said another
heckler.
"Will you leave me alone, Heckler & Jeckler!" complained Magic,
"If you don't like it, go somewhere else to eat."
"Might as well," quipped Jeckler, "I ordered a roast beef sandwich
& it tasted like a roach beef sandwich!" (Laughing).
Heckler & Jeckler were causing trouble @ the restaurant that our
trio went to the gentlemen's room & switched to their super hero
outfits. As Heckler & Jeckler were about to pour beer over Magic, they
heard,
"I'd leave if I were you!" said SC Joe.
"Look Jeckler," said Heckler, "It's The Stupid Cool Brothers!
What are you gonna do? Sing us to death!"
Heckler & Jeckler attacked our super hero trio. But as you know,
good triumphs over evil! SC Joe & Matt punched them while SC Andy used
his karate skills. The 2 troublemakers were taken away & arrested.
Magic Jordan was so grateful, he paid their bill & had them perform
with him on stage. They had 3 jam sessions.
1). Magic & SC Andy dueling it out on drums.
2). Magic & SC Matt playing guitars & singing
together.
3). Magic & SC Joe dueled it out playing jazz
guitar soloes.
Afterwards, he had their picture taken with them.
"I'm surprised that I met some national role models. You brothers
really rock as super heroes & your songs are awesome!"
Then to their disbelief, Magic got out a pack of cigarettes.
"Let's bail, he's no role model." said SC Joe. But Magic wouldn't
let them go.
"Chill." he said. He took a cigarette & put it in his mouth, then
chewed it. They thought it was gross until he blew a bubble.
"They're bubble gum cigarettes, I endorse it." explained Magic,
"Priced cheap & brightens the smile. Also comes in green spearmint.
Try one."
"We apologize." said the SC Bros. as they took a piece of green
spearmint bubble gum cigarettes & chewed it.
