The Super Cool Brothers; Metropolitan City's crimefighters & famous super hero rock group. In this fanfic, we'll look into the private lives of the trio & have their full origin story.
Joey Nicholson was born in our bicentennial year,
1976. Parents Dorothy & Ray knew that they had a gifted child. When he was 3, Joey liked to dance & sing for people.
When he was 7, QBC had an audition call for a new sitcom, Nell's Diner. Joey got the role of Billy Wyatt, Nell's adopted son. Nell's Diner was a sitcom about life @ a diner. Joey's character was cute & charming, he got to play his keyboard & sing every season.
On two 1985 episodes, a little boy made an appearance. Matt Nicholson, Joey's younger brother,
made an appearance on Nell's Diner. One episode had Matt pull a Little Tommy Tucker as he played his baby electric guitar & sing for his supper! Nell made him a hamburger platter with fries & blueberry shake after his cute performance. And in the Christmas episode,
Joey & Matt got to sing & play together.
That caused a domino reaction. Nell's Diner's ratings were down. So QBC decided to cancel the series until ZBX decided to move the show to a new network on this condition; they wanted to appeal more for adults. Joey was discontinued & fired! The following season, ZBX's Nell's Diner explained that Billy's parents found him & they moved to New Mexico.
The new format bombed & ZBX canceled Nell's Diner.
Joey decided to stay away from tv forever.
When Joey was 16, he was a motorcycle rebel. He drove a red ninja motorcycle & had motorcycle friends.
He even started a rock band where he was lead singer/lead guitarist. When Joey was 21, he bought a penthouse with his trust funds, hoping to be a rock star.
Matt Nicholson was born in 1980. When Joey had a keyboard, Matt got a baby electric guitar for Christmas 1984. Matt really knew how to play the guitar.
When growing up, Joey often teased Matt a lot, he drained all his confidence out of him. Matt ended up being scared & shy. Joey never gave Matt a motorcycle ride & when he switched from keys to guitar, Joey would never let Matt jam with him. Dorothy & Ray would often ground Joey for picking on Matt.
Matt gave up guitar for playing football in high school. When Matt was messing on a guitar & singing,
his friend encouraged him to be in the talent show.
His friend gave him confidence as he coached Matt. In the talent show, Matt was a hit when he played electric guitar & sang! Girls liked it & Matt thanked his friend for re-boosting his confidence. Joey then got along with Matt better by having guitar jam sessions & going on motorcycle rides, he even let Matt drive his motorcycle!
Andy Nicholson was born in 1988. In 1995, Andy's favorite show was Power Astros. He liked The Black Astro who's a karate pro. On one episode, The Black Astro rapped & played the drums.
When cleaning the garage out, Andy discovered a drum set Joey & Matt use to have. So he started playing the drums & like Black Astro, he also took karate lessons & was a black belt in a year.
Joey & Matt were watching Pool Watch drooling over the bikini babes! Then as Andy peeked in, he saw new cast member AC Lopez playing a drum solo. Andy rushed to his drums & played the same solo.
But tragedy struck in 1997. While Dorothy & Ray left from the ballet, they drove back home only to be caught in a high speed chase! The car rammed into them accidentally causing both cars to crash! The suspect who rammed that car was arrested, but their parents died.
After the funeral, Joey decided to let his brothers live @ his penthouse while their grandparents moved in their house after living in a trailer.
Now this part features how they became The Super Cool Brothers.
It started when Joey & Matt were invited to a costume party. Instead of renting a costume, they made their own. A friend of theirs helped by getting some capes & sew some cuffs & their chest logos.
Hours before the party, Andy was waiting patiently for his brothers to come out.
"OK Andy, hit it!" cried Joey.
Andy played a snare drum roll as Joey & Matt came out. Joey wore blue ballet tights with red, white & blue striped swim briefs & Matt wore green tights with green, white & blue striped swim briefs, both having capes & sneakers.
"Andy, meet Super Cool Joe & Super Cool Matt!"
"Awesome, but there's something missing." said Andy. He rushed into Joey's bedroom & came back with shades as they put them on.
"Now you look super cool! Why don't you let me join? I got my Super Cool Andy costume."
"No!" Joe said firmly, "This party's for grown-ups. Stay home & do your homework."
"If there's an emergency, the party's @ the corner of Elizabeth & W. Montgomery (U.S. 57 South)."
said SC Matt.
Joey & Matt left. When they went to the garage,
Joe drove the motorcycle as Matt held on.
"Man, we'd make great super crimefighters!
You're looking heroic driving a motorcycle."
complimented SC Matt.
"Grow up!" quipped SC Joe as they headed to the party.
A few hours later, Andy was in his SC Andy costume watching a horror movie. Just then, a news report broke in.
"We interrupt the movie to bring you a news bulletin!" the anchor continued, "Police are searching for 3 jewelry thieves who held up a jewelry store.
Sources report these men are armed & dangerous. They were last spotted along the W. Montgomery area towards Elizabeth. We'll keep you posted!"
Andy turned off the tv & decided to play super hero. So he grabbed his skateboard & left. As he glided along Metropolitan City, he saw a race track for kid motorcyclists. He saw a blue junior sized ninja motorcycle (like Joey's) & started driving off!
"Come back here!" yelled the owner.
At the party, SC Joe was dancing with Cleopatra while SC Matt danced with Cinderella. Just then the robbers arrived unsuspected & yelled,
"Hands up! We want your valuables!"
The people @ the party were scared. Joey & Matt decided to play hero, but the gang took them & tied them to a column.
After all the valuables were taken, the robbers were about to get away until a junior motorcycle crashed the party. It's SC Andy!
"Who are you suppose to be?" heckled a robber.
"I'm Super Cool Andy, boy super hero! Go ahead,
take me on!"
Two of the robbers were about to grab his arms & SC Andy used his karate on them. When they were down,
he untied his older brothers.
"You are so grounded Andy!" gruffed Joe.
"All that money on karate lessons paid off!"
reasoned SC Andy.
SC Joe & Matt fought with their fists while SC Andy still used his karate.
Just then, the police arrived & broke it up. Not only were the thieves arrested, but our super heroes for rioting & stealing a junior motorcycle.
At the police station, our trio were locked in jail. Joey & Matt were angry @ Andy for stealing a motorcycle & driving on public roads.
The next morning, the bailiff released them & escorted them to Sgt. O'Ryan's office.
"I want the truth about what happened!" he barked.
SC Andy told the whole story to the sarge & his brothers.
"Boys," he said, "I have an idea. Thanks for capturing that jewelry gang. I'm willing to drop all the charges against you if you'll do something for me.
Otherwise, I'll let you rot in jail."
"You want us to be a super hero crimefighting team?" asked SC Matt as he nodded.
"You're living in fantasy world!" quipped SC Joe.
Sarge O'Ryan explained, "Metropolitan City needs role models. Powerless super heroes who are drug free. boys would respect you & girls would scream over you & want a date! Have you got a name?"
SC Joe said, "Just call us The Super Cool Brothers; SC Joe, SC Matt & SC Andy!"
Sarge O'Ryan handed badges to our super trio.
Then they went to the police garage & let SC Joe have a used police motorcycle that he would fix. SC Matt got Joey's ninja motorcycle.
At an obstacle course, he had SC Andy drive that same junior motorcycle. He was amazed of his driving ability. When he was through,
"You can really ride!" said Sarge O'Ryan explaining, "I straightened the mess up with the race track owner. This is legally your junior motorcycle!"
"Cool!" exclaimed SC Andy.
"First you must take an oath." he said instructing the boy super hero to raise his right hand.
"I, Super Cool Andy, will be issued a special driver's license. I will only drive as SC Andy, not as my secret identity. You must obey all the rules of the road & will be responsible. I have to fight for good & not turn evil. Any violation of irresponsibility will have my junior motorcycle & driver's license taken away from me & will have to wait to be 16 to drive. Do you accept?"
"Yes!" said SC Andy.
So a crimefighting team was born. But what about music?
Joey & Matt were @ Quarter Note Music waiting for Andy to finish his drum lesson. Just as the lesson was over, a punk band terrorize the shop. So our boys went into a music studio & changed into SC Joe & Matt.
As the punk band trashed the store, SC Joe & Matt grabbed some electric guitars & played an eerie solo (Not Stairway to Heaven!). The punks covered their ears & the owners beat them up! After they were arrested, the owners told our heroes.
"Thanks for saving my store. If you ever need anything, it's on us."
SC Joe & Matt were going back to change until I talked to them.
"Before you switch to your secret identities,
would you play the guitar?"
SC Joe played as SC Matt went to fetch SC Andy.
"That's the last time I'm playing guitar in a super hero outfit." said SC Joe.
"You might want to change your mind after you sing this song."
I went to my portfolio & showed him song lyrics.
He played the guitar & sang the song. I explained, "The SC Bros. would make a fine rock band! You would sing songs that would get kids listening & play rock music parents would approve of."
SC Joe discussed it with his brothers & they agreed to let me be their silent partner. They would take turns lead singing in a song or sing in unison.
When The SC Bros. Band did a public service commercial on tv, Sgt. O'Ryan liked the idea of the super heroes reaching out to kids with music.
Then it happened, one day as our super boys drove their motorcycles & stopped @ a red light, a convertible full of girls were next to them.
"It's The Super Cool Brothers! EEE! We love your music!"
Our super trio drove off to ditch the girls!
